Perfect wallpapering is the product of a carefully planned and executed process. Here is what you should know about our special brand of wall paper application.
PREP WALLS CORRECTLY:
The first step in perfect wallpaper is to begin with walls that are prepared for the installation. If your walls are textured, they will first need to be floated and primed. Even though wallpaper can be installed in textured walls it is not recommended. Without proper preparation, the texture of the wall will show through the paper and the seams will not be fully sealed.
MAKE SURE TO GET MATCHING LOT/ RUN NUMBER
It is important that the lot/run numbers match perfectly to avoid small discrepancies in color and shadow.
ORDER ENOUGH MATERIAL:
Some projects will generate more waste than others. For example, if you are looking to wallpaper a kitchen or bathroom, this will generate much more waste than a simple accent wall. Furthermore, if you are looking for a specific pattern, there will be more waste than with a random pattern.
WALLPAPER ESTIMATOR:
You will need a double roll of wallpaper for each 50-ft square. If your project needs several cuts and you will be using straight-cut wallpaper, it is recommendable to buy at last 20% more than you have calculated for your project, to make sure that you aren’t lacking anything. If you see that you have wallpaper leftover after the project is completed, set this aside. You will then have the exact materials for any future repair work.
